The mission of the IE Equity Fund to bring IE’s transformative professional training and coaching to all educators by providing scholarships and grants to individuals and teams in high-need, underfunded schools, districts and communities.
At IE, we firmly believe:
Cost should not be a barrier to professional learning, and
It should never be an educator’s personal responsibility to pay for support that will increase their impact.
With these beliefs in mind, we launched the IE Equity Fund in Fall 2024 and have been leveraging the fund to provide grants and scholarships to educators ever since.
Whether it’s an individual educator who can’t get enough funding to join an IE training, or a school dealing with budget cuts, the Equity Fund makes it possible for us to remove the cost barrier and give our partners what they need to succeed.
As one Equity Fund grantee shared with us:
“We have devoted leaders who are ready to improve and hone practices, and who need support to dig deeper as they are learning. And, we have a limited budget due to our State’s funding formula for schools.
With the limited funds in our budget, we do all we can to ensure that money goes to getting the best teachers for our students…After that, there isn’t much money left to make sure our leaders are prepared to support these teachers once we’ve got them.”
